  6. Eligibility Conditions :
    1. Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
    2. Age limit:
      1. A candidate must not be less than 21 years and not more than 35 years of age on the first day of the month of recruitment. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and other backward classes as laid down by the Government.
        Provided that the upper age limit in all recruitment rules/service rules for Group ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ posts under the Government of Mizoram where upper age limit prescribed for direct recruitment is 35 (thirty-five) years shall be 37 (thirty-seven) years for direct recruitments in various posts under the Government of Mizoram for advertisements likely to be made after the commencement of these rules during the Calendar years of 2023 and 2024

      2. In case of candidate possessing the required qualifications, who has already been in service of the Government, Semi Govt. of autonomous or organizations, the upper age limit may be relaxed up to the extent of continuous regular service rendered by them.
        Note: A candidate should note that the date of birth as recorded in the HSLC/HSSLC examination certificate or an equivalent certificate on the date of submission of application will be accepted by the Commission and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.
    3. Educational Qualifications:
      1. Holds an Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification in the appropriate line from any Indian University/Institution or Foreign University/Institution recognised by the Government.
        OR Passed Section A and B of Examinations of the Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) and possessing Certificate to that effect from the said Institution.
      2. Knowledge of Mizo Language up to Middle School Standard.
        Note: A candidate who has appeared at an examination, the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the examination, but has not been informed of the result or have not been declared at the time of submission of the application, may be eligible for admission to the examination. All such candidates included in the list prepared by the Commission shall be required to produce proof of passing the requisite examination at the time of interview before the selection board/committee, failing which, such candidates will not be appointed to the service.
  7. Disqualification :
    1. Canvassing by a candidate directly or indirectly will disqualify his/her candidature.
    2. Particulars/Details to be mentioned in the application should be completely and correctly stated. Any application not specifying the required information of a concerned candidate shall be liable to be rejected.
    3. Any candidate who, on verification at any stage of the recruitment process, does not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions will be disqualified.
  8. Government servants will have to apply through proper channel.
